No updates until after January 8th.

...HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Now get out of my office.

Alright, it's official. This paint stuff is wicked fun. It outta be a general art form, I tells ya'.
My animation instructor, Rick Knowles, provided this supperb layout bg for our painting class. I just added the pretty colors. Enjoy, folks!

Ooooh...paint!
Like...real, non-photoshopy paint, too! Who'da thunk? This is a fun fun Background painting...thing...I did. I'll be using it for a backdrop in my 3D project. Personally, I think it looked better before I scanned it. Maybe it's the resolution on this computer. Maybe I'm just trying to fool you good readers into thinking that it might actually be better than it looks here. Maybe I'm just full of crap and no should listen to a word I say. Ever. Tally-Ho!

Heads!

Hands!
Feet!
Eeeee-yep, more portfoolin' around. A bunch of stuff I scrounged from the ol' life drawing class. Some of it'll probably make it into the final 'folio. I'll find out in May, no doubt.

Hey folks, sorry for the lack of update. It's not you, it's me. I still love ya'. My room # is 71. Come visit anytime.

<_< ANYWAY. My last animation project kept me a tad busy. Here's a quickie to make up for the absence.

Portfoolin' Around

After packing myself with as much sugary delights as I could from my secret Halloween stash, I got the idea in me to scan a buncha crap from my current sketchbook. A lot of these (and several more) will likely go to my portfolio, already in progress.

Isn't that great, Prancing Bicurious Devilman?

As an avid Disney supporter, the original's far better.

More of the same. 'Cept I really tried to push the inking in Photoshop. I had so much fun just mix-&-matching all the colors on this one. Photoshop's a really fun tool for that, and it's great for people like me, who have a lot of trouble thinking up a color scheme before applying it. She started off as a white blonde, and I'm really glad I changed it. No offense to the white blondes out there, I love all you ladies!

Well, I promised you a colored version, and 'lo and behold, I have left you disapointed. I'm struggling on the color, so in the meantime, 'lo and behold the inked version instead. I'm still having trouble with line quality, both in pencil and tablet work. Just gimme time and patience, folks!

Here come the Butcherman!

Expect a color version of this happy fellow in a bit. I need to keep my photoshoppin' from getting rusty....maybe I should learn actual painting instead. Actually, that's what Background painting classes are for. God, I'm a slave to the digital world. The one...the one without all the digimon.

....Oh hell, I love that world, too. Digimon, digital monsters, Digimon are the CHAMPIONS!

One of these days, I'm gonna use my work computer for, y'know, actual work. Until then, here's something I put more hours into than any other work project I did on the computer. The original line drawing itself was a layout project. It's a schoolhouse. Behold its schoolhousy ways.

Coming soon...DUN-DUN-DUUUUUUN!

Friday, August 11, 2006

So, let's start with a couple of sketchbook drawings. The first two are of people I've met in my college courses. The last one is me screwing around in Photoshop and putting my wacom to work. Enjoy.

Welcome to my little corner of the frightening little institutionalized facility we've all come to know as the Internet. I'll take this little space as ample opertunity to post my drawings, both student work and whatever's on the side. Hope I don't accidentally let this place go to waste. Might be a good starter for my own website portfolio. Eeee!
